Falcon Bridge by PBCO
Price range: $24.95 through $29.95
The Falcon Bridge
Now offering a new five-footed banjo bridge, precision cut from a single piece of Appalachian hardwood—no rainforest ebony, no glue, just pure organic tone!
Inspired by a forgotten 1899 patent, the Falcon distributes string tension across five contact points instead of the traditional two or three, dramatically reducing sag while improving tone transfer to the head. Pre-Cambered for a true self-leveling design that is extremely resistant to sagging!
Available in a range of domestic hardwoods, each with its own tonal signature! We love this bridge so much that it comes standard on all Pisgah banjo models! The bridge includes a reusable tin can to keep in your case for your bridge or pick collection. Click here to learn more about the Falcon Bridge!
Don’t know your bridge height? Use this handy-dandy bridge ruler to quickly and accurately measure your bridge height and string spacing.
Choose maple or persimmon for greater volume, clarity, and sustain; walnut for a warmer, mellower tone with more plunk and a quicker decay; or cherry for a balanced blend of warmth, clarity, and sustain.
FALCON:
Flexible – The bridge is cambered on top and flattens under string tension accommodating a variety of string tensions and tunings.
Accurate – Precision cut to consistent tolerance and tonal correctness
Leveling – Self-levels under string tension and maintains optimal head contact over time.
Compensated – Each string’s vibration length is individually tuned for accurate pitch and intonation
Organic – Once piece of Appalachian Hardwood with no glue, synthetics, or shortcuts.
Non-Sagging – Five-footed geometry, a pre-cambered design and quartersawn stability are engineered to outlast convention bridges and resist sagging.
